Whatever happened to the guy that played Mr. Drummond on Different Strokes? Is he still alive?

~~SheSul~~ replied: "I dont know what his fate was. It seems that show was full of tragedy - Willis arrested, Kimberly arrested, then dead, Arnold broke. Go to dead or alive.com. You can type in a name and they will let you know if they are dead or alive, and if dead, the date of death."

gyrene71 replied: "His name is Conrad Bain; he's still alive."

Uhhummmmm weird dreamm....tres odd...? kay so i have liek 2 cattegories of friends. my friends from the barn, and my friends from school. so my friends charlie and sydney from the barn were with me at this football game along with my friends Mal and lillie from school. we were all talking and having fun despite the fact they didnt know each other. then all of a sudden charlie says 'the lady who wants to know the sport you play is by the hamburgers' so we all go over there and give her our sports. then sydney, who is liek obsessed with this kid drummond from school goes over and talks to him like theyre best friends. i hear drummond tell her he thinks 'hummers are bad for chocolate' which is odd because sydneys horses name is hummer. then i see mal and lillie flying over us with dressage olympian lendon grey and they all look so happy. then the guy i like chris is there and he liek asks me out, then charlie gets liek all protective and tells him he cant go out with me (reminds me of edward from twilight, he was like growling) then chris asks sydney out then they like go on the carousel while drummond is eating a hot dog with lendon grey. then i ask charlie why he did that and he tells me chris is a unicorn. then i woke up very. very. strange.

=D replied: "Did you see twilight that night, think of it/read it before bed? It could be the reason the plot is sort of involved in your dream."

Alex M replied: "Honestly i dont even think there is an interpretation for this!! LOL strange though It might just be you hang out with your friends alot so you have em on your mind alot as well as their distresses"

Katie the crazy magnet replied: "Some dreams are deep-rooted in your subconscious and very meaningful. Others are just a result of your brain going over the things that happened in your day, and really don't have much relevance to anything. I think this one was the second type, which is the main reason it's so strange and nonsensical."

Do you think this is funny? I put this up on my blog about sports day and my mate found it funny. But I don't think it's that funny lol. "right well im bored, so thought i'd do something on the blog thing. so i had an idea (i) SPORTS DAY! :D random? yup, but oh well :$ well yesterday was sports day at warriston... i was supposed to be doing cross country but i ended up not doing that, and instead doing other things :L did shot puitt mine never went far :| craig won :( ! well done craig! :) then everyone in our year just walked about to the next thing and it was "high jump." we just sat there and watched people, laughed at mr mac and mr nelson when they fell :L and cheered at random people who got through and thats about it for that :\ then afterwards people went off to get free water bottles and nutri-grain bars :P then me, craig and daryl had a wee bit of a grass fight and then a water fight, but i got shouted at by ms drummond :| after, people were just walking about randomly and i saw people playing football and claudia and zineb were playing to so i joined in :) was fun but no one actually passed... (N) then me, laura and craig went up to mr spalding and i attempted to interview people, i asked the questions :P :L then it was the next thing, 100m and 200m race thing. taskeen, harpreet, harjeet, kimberley and other people did it. cant remember who won though :L everyone watched that race and cheered people on. then everyone just walked about for a bit again lolol. then we went up to spalding again and i asked if i could film people playing football :L and i did for about 30 secs... hopefully you'll get to see my amazing filming in modern studies one day ;) :L actually spaldz said i was shit but still :P then after we just walked about again :\ then that little idiot jordan reid was "toy fighting" with some random or something and then he chucked the guy right on my sore foot :| hows that toy fighting ^o)? the point is its not supposed to hurt people? but anyway just raged at him... and now my foot hurts more. then we saw more races, i think :S? and then later we sat about watching people run and stuff and then some randoms were spilling water on the lanes so people trip up :L and craig was being nippy and saying i fancy *someone* when i clearly dont :| not mentioning it on her cos people were being annoying about it before so just did that lol. but then after that me, lipa and craig walked home. laura was with hannah |-)? well thats it! quite long eh :|? oh well :L" Please actually read it cos it is supposed to be funny. I know it's long but still. Thanks xxx tell me if you find it funny or not lol xx should've paragraphed i guess. btw on bebo it doesnt seem that long :L

▓▒Triple J ▒▓ replied: "probs is but im not reading all that soz"

Lynnette replied: "LOL never heard of anything more funnier!!"

RUBBER DUCK ZILLA [new dp] replied: "It's too hard to read, I suppose you would find it funny if you knew all these people but I don't so its hard to tell... just ask them why they think its funny? xx"

Jeanne replied: "Lmao I'm laughing because you actually expect us to read all of that. Hahaha Ha-lar-i-ous!!"

Louise mk replied: "hahaha, yet funny and a bit random..."

Did this good hearted Catholic man imacatholic2 give a good answer to my question about abuse in the church? On Yahoo Answers May 21, 2009 user imacatholic2 [I'm a Catholic to] said [sorry about the wall of words but it is serious info so take your time please before answering!] <[answer to this link] "I am ashamed that these so-called "Catholic Christians" committed these horrible crimes of [sexual] abuse which are contrary to the morals and principles of Christianity and the Catholic Church." And his [I'm a Catholic to] last statement: "+ The Catholic Church is not a corrupt group of believers because a few of its members act in ways that are contrary to the principles of the Catholic Church" For any faith called Christian or otherwise are horrible crimes of [sexual] abuse which are contrary to the morals and principles of Christianity. And this is true in any faith not a corrupt group of believers just because a few members act in ways that are contrary to the principles of their form of faith. So try not to show bigotry toward one faith above another in that area if over all their history record is a good one and than judge only by the accurate facts not bigotry inaccurate feelings. Like what are the right accurate history between the teachings and actions of the Catholic church [and others] and Jehovah's Witnesses? And who of them once they see their wrong ways sincerely repent from it in truth? Or that is stop doing it? Example: History of first Christians, “A careful review of all the information available goes to show that, until the time of Marcus Aurelius [121-180 C.E.], no Christian became a soldier; and no soldier, after becoming a Christian, remained in military service.” (The Rise of Christianity, by E. W. Barnes, 1947, p. 333) “It will be seen presently that the evidence for the existence of a single Christian soldier between 60 and about 165 A.D. is exceedingly slight; . . . up to the reign of Marcus Aurelius at least, no Christian would become a soldier after his baptism.” (The Early Church and the World, by C. J. Cadoux, 1955, pp. 275, 276) “In the second century, Christianity . . . had affirmed the incompatibility of military service with Christianity.” (A Short History of Rome, by G. Ferrero and C. Barbagallo, 1919, p. 382) “The behavior of the Christians was very different from that of the Romans. . . . Since Christ had preached peace, they refused to become soldiers.” (Our World Through the Ages, by N. Platt and M. J. Drummond, 1961, p. 125) “The first Christians thought it was wrong to fight, and would not serve in the army even when the Empire needed soldiers.” (The New World’s Foundations in the Old, by R. and W. M. West, 1929, p. 131) “The Christians . . . shrank from public office and military service.” (“Persecution of the Christians in Gaul, A.D. 177,” by F. P. G. Guizot in The Great Events by Famous Historians, edited by R. Johnson, 1905, Vol. III, p. 246) “While they [the Christians] inculcated the maxims of passive obedience, they refused to take any active part in the civil administration or the military defence of the empire. . . . It was impossible that the Christians, without renouncing a more sacred duty, could assume the character of soldiers, of magistrates, or of princes.”—The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, by Edward Gibbon, Vol. I, p. 416." Seeing that let us get back to what [I'm a Catholic to] said yet about American Christians below: I am also ashamed that so-called "Christian Americans" [think about the history just above of staying out of government and war of first Christians] + Kept slaves until the end of the Civil War [Christ like?] + Imprisoned Japanese Americans in "relocation" camps during WWII [Christ like? + Keep getting into political scandals and winding up in prison. The worst case being Watergate which included the President of the United States [Christ like?] + Permitted the torture of prisoners [Christ like?] + Allow the killing of over a million unborn children every year [Christ like?] Is [I'm a Catholic to] accurate here below if we note the history of the first Christians not mixing in human government business at all? Am I not being BOLD in a loving way to help you see a serious problem here? [I'm a Catholic to] said, "I am glad that these scandals reflect on the individuals involved and not on the organizations to which these individuals belong: + The United States is not a corrupt group of citizens because a few of its members up to and including the President act in ways contrary to the principles of the U.S. + The Catholic Church is not a corrupt group of believers because a few of its members act in ways that are contrary to the principles of the Catholic Church." Easter Religion & Spirituality [I'm a Catholic to] sounds like a real nice guy like so many others with a religious faith see About me: "I am a lifelong lay Catholic with a spouse, children, and a career. When I was old enough to think for myself, I Why do not all Christian faiths have that same faithful to divene law history? A serious question needing a true right answer! And who of them once they see their wrong ways sincerely repent from it in truth? Or that is stop doing the wrong things? See who opened the door for you to make your choice of religion even if it was not their religion you wanted to be part of at link here: When I was old enough to think for myself, I looked around at all of my spiritual options and then realized that Catholicism: + Answered all my questions + Satisfied both my faith and my reason + Inspired both great learning and great spirituality I view Y!A as one of my ministries. I am here to answer questions about God, Christianity, and Catholicism. I am not here to argue, rant, call people names, or spread hate. I hope I meet these goals at least most of the time. With love in Christ." But when we see the true history of the first followers of Christ why do we not see true peace and security in all nations called Christian and no Christian going to war or mixing in human government business? A serious dilemma true? Now which Christian faith had to fight in the American courts for their religious rights other faiths had freely had for years because they would not fight in human wars or mix in government business just like first Christians? Why do not all Christian faith Sorry if I said man if the person is a woman! And yes toooo long but needed info! have that same faithful to divene law history? A serious question needing a true right answer! And who of them once they see their wrong ways sincerely repent from it in truth? Or that is stop doing the wrong things? See who opened the door for you to make your choice of religion even if it was not their religion you wanted to be part of at link here: If it is a woman not a man sorry! And sorry so long toooooo! but needing looked into seriously! And if edited wrong sorry also, I am not a get writer but a sincere one! If anyone who answered had time to think more about this question come back and edit in a more knowledgable answer if you like. I hope that is allowed here because we need to keep this in the news. I have been away from the computer for a time now and came back and cannot believe how my added details got all mixed up. Before I left I did not notice it being like that. Sorry! Hope you can still follow what is being said here.

Edward O replied: "You started with imacatholic2's last statement. How did it start? It's funny how some people edit their statements."

Smiling JW replied: "My faith has no political history."

*♥Rain♥* replied: "I'm sorry can you ask the question again in a shorter form. It's just I don't understand half the story since it's sooooo long. So I'm not able to answer you. The only way to understand this question would be to shorten it by asking it again. You can't edit it :)"

Spirit Animal replied: "wow why are you doing this it's a little pathetic in my mind who cares about his or her answer just wasted 5 points plundering someones answer, come on don't you have anything better to do like seriously."

Roman C replied: "Imacatholic2 always gives good, informed and accurate answers. I read the whole thing, and I thought it was quite good. I would never have have taken the time to give such a detailed response. That is why Imacatholic 2 is top contributor with the most best answers in R&S. Pax Christi"

Yo Yo Mama replied: "It is dodging the real issue with the classic, "no true Scotsman" argument used by the adherents of every religion as an apologetic for conduct they know is reprehensible in the eyes of the greater part of humanity. The Christian religion uniquely claims that it's believers are indwelt with the very Holy Spirit they claim to be the third head of their polycephalic deity. A weak god indeed that is so universally unable to improve upon its devotees who are neither blessed with divine wisdom, insight, self-control or even average forbearance. The issue is absolutely not whether miscreant Catholics conform to the image of Catholicism that ImaCatholic2 holds dear, but whether in fact the Holy Spirit conforms believers to the image of Christ, which it appears powerless to do even among those who have apostolic authority by the laying on of hands, a mysitcal power the church claims, but which is obviously and demonstrably a fraud in that it is of no effect. Every priest that ever raped a choir boy had "apostolic authority.""

Nancy replied: "The post is difficult to decipher; it is too long- to make heads or tails- Ima Catholic seems to consistently have good posts- however, what your post does show, is that the human race is flawed, and that it carries out not just in the catholic church, but throughout all sectors of society, and religions as well - The scandals really got to me; I don't want to see anyone in pain; but if people were to go back in time, they would remember that there were families, lawyers, boyscout masters, judges, who were also found to have committed these crimes; how many children were returned to their abusers? How many mothers have risked going to jail to try to protect their children. I am not saying the Catholic Church was right in how it dealt with it; what I am saying is, it was how our society was handling it back then in general. The biggest crime to any abuse; sexual or not - is silence. We need to be a proactive society - not to beat up on abusers- but to stop abuse when it happens from the get go- silence, is what keeps the abuse going on; silence is what causes people to remain ignorant about domestic violence, child abuse, sexual abuse -"

cyndee replied: "I am a Catholic Too...but, I have to say... I started to read your posting and gave up. Guess I don't care enough about what you are asking to follow your postings and figure out what are you really wanting to know. It is too much."

Jesus loves me replied: "I am a catholic is right, try to re-read her answer again and believe. When Catholics psychologists first examined the sexual abuse cases of the catholic church they taught that pedophilia could be cured. The bishops followed their advice because they wanted to forgive and help the priests recover. Bad advice, wrong conclusions they all were wrong. Even the priests who asked to be removed from the priesthood were refused because the bishops believed they could be cured, wrong again. This sexual abuse problem is world wide and in all segments of our culture. It became a catholic scandal because the catholic church is looked upon as the holiest and most sacred church, it should be but its not"

Fantasy Football Trade? Alright what do you guys think about this in fantasy football? Who gets the better deal? Player 1 (Players to Trade): Matt Leinart LaDainian Tomlinson Eddie Drummond Ronald Curry Player 2 (Players to Trade): Drew Brees Frank Gore Terrell Owens

mclarenfreak1110 replied: "it really depends on the rest of your team, if team 1 has crappy players, then i would say theyre getting the best deal.. they would be getting three very consistent players that will put up points every week.. but giving up LT will be hard, its kind of a once in a lifetime oppurtunity... scenario #2.. if team 1 has good enough players, then youre getting ripped off.. dont give up LT.. scenario #3.. youre probably team 2.. youre getting one hell of a deal there.."

b m replied: "Player 2 definitely gets the better deal, particularly because Gore is a much bigger injury risk than Tomlinson. For god's sake, the man is playing on two reconstructed knees. Don't expect him to stay healthy forever."

John L replied: "Player 1 is getting the better deal. LT will not have the same season he had last year and it is nearly impossible for him to have a better season. Leinart is on a whole different tier of QBs than Brees. And I'd take TO over both of those receivers on any day. Unless player 2 has a great QB to start that isn't Leinart and some great WR's to start that aren't Drummond or Curry he shouldn't do the trade."

jonboy replied: "If you're getting Drew Brees Frank Gore Terrell Owens than its a good deal"

Do you think Brisbane Lions will make top 4? I think the Lions have a fairly good chance. They are only outside the 4 because of percentage. I think a major factor on whether they will make the top 4 is their clash with the Magpies at the MCG in Round 18 or 19 on sat night. They have a very good defence ( Merret, Patfull, Henderson, Drummond, Adcock, Macdonald and with Roe and McGrath making occasional appearances in the back. Assuming A.Rocca is back for the clash, which Lions defenders do you think will match up on these Collingwood forwards? Didak- Dick- Rocca- Anthony- Davis- Cloke- Another big game for the Lions is the Round 20 clash against the Bulldogs at the Gabba. If the Lions win , they could snare the 3rd spot. Also, could you guys please name your top 6 defenders and top 6 forwards for the Lions? Just want to see your opinions. These are mine... Defenders Merret Patfull Adcock Macdonald Henderson Drummond Forwards Brown Bradshaw Hooper Polkinghorne Rischitelli Sherman What do you guys think ?

#13 replied: "they can make it but don't think they will"

Methoozelah replied: "There seems to be some AWESOME talent you've listed there mate... I certainly will be barracking for the Lions against the Hagpies. Anyway the answer to your question is... NO."

Cathryne S replied: "read this very carefully ....NO....got it!"

Alex replied: "I think they are a very good chance as well However i rekon collingwood may just get 4th posi. although we will see if collingwood are the real deal in the next few weeks. - They have the bombers this friday - the dogs the following week if collingwood lose both of these matches i rekon the lions will make 4th, If collingwood win both they will make the top 4 If i had to choose now i would say lions 5th. But well see how they go!!"

RFC replied: "Top 8 pretty much for certain, but not top 4."

EMbILY replied: "They are playing well, but not good enough. As of the moment, I would rate them at 6th to 8th place at the end of the season."

Saints for the Premiership! replied: "Yep definately top four spot for the Lions."

»кιzzα« gℓσяу αη∂ ƒαмє replied: "I've thought for a long time that the Lions will make the 4, they have a reasonable draw coming up so it's definitely possible. Defenders- Adcock Drummond Forwards- Brown Bradshaw"

Go The replied: "sorry mate not top four you will probally finish 5th or 6th. even though im a pie supporter i still dont think you guys are gonna beat us. but anyway i dont know much brisbane players but my fav forwards are Brown and Bradshaw and my fav backman would be Adcock and Merret. GO THE PIES!!!!"

#21WCE THE BIG Q replied: "Want an improved and underestimated side, that will make the four? Take the Brisbane Lions. They are this, and much more. Whatever Vossy has done, it is working. I have put them 4th on my ladder predictions. They have come from nowhere to be one of the top sides and be very hard to defeat."

shane replied: "No, I Still don't believe the Lions can make the Top 4, They'll go Close, but They'd got no Real Ruckman!!"

Daryl M replied: "Yep i believe that Brisbane will make the top 4"

Tizlak replied: "This will be the ladder at the end of the season - Geelong - Saint Kilda - Western Bulldogs - Brisbane Lions"

The Icon of Wrestling replied: "I doubt they'll make the top 4 but they should make the top 8 easy but they wont beat Port this week. Your list seems to be spot on"

Coitsta replied: "They have a very good chance. Definately up there."

Theme of A Poem. Help? Hey guys, I have an interesting poem in front of me here called "Souvenir of the Ancient World" by Carlos Drummond de Andrade and I'm trying to figure out the theme of the story and what Carlos's purpose is in the poem. POEM: Clara strolled in the garden with the children. The sky was green over the grass, the water was golden under the bridges, other elements were blue and rose and orange, a policeman smiled, bicycles passed, a girl stepped onto the lawn to catch a bird, the whole world – Germany, China -- All was quiet around Clara. The children looked at the sky: it was not forbidden. Mouth, nose, eyes were open. There was no danger. What Clara feared were the flu, the heat, the insects. Clara feared missing the eleven o'clock trolley, waiting for letters slow to arrive, not always being able to wear a new dress. But she strolled in the garden, in the morning! They had gardens, they had mornings in those days!

Diana white . replied: "I've made some adjustments; Florence rolled in the farden with the builders His eye was green over my a,ss his water was molding before it broke other elements were exploding and shorange, a policeman criled, bicycles crashed a girl stepped onto the lawn to catch herpes. the whole world – North America, United States -- All was a diet to round florence. The children looked at my eyes; it was not forbidden. Mouth, nose job, eyes were not as pretty as mine. There was no walker texas ranger. What Milfred feared were the sioux, dakotas, the cherokee too!! clarence feared missing the elevator jolly waiting for hugh hefner slow to arrive, not always being able to wear my old dress. But she fold in the homo jardin, in the torning They had gardens, they had mornings in those days!"

The Anti-Wayne replied: "We dont care about your dream team"

Macca replied: "Looks sound Any thought to moving Houlihan to Forward line and pick someone else for Thomas? Not sure about Schoenmaker Are you not a fan of Rich (BL)? Or Ziebell?"

deedubya replied: "If that's the best team you could DREAM up, I feel sorry for you. At least you still have a week to return the cutting room, then ya drawingboard"

Romper Stomper replied: "Sorry i'm not into rating dream teams, it's your side, you pick it, good luck."

Miki The Top Cat replied: "2 out of 10"

#21WCoast Eagles replied: "Good, Solid backline. Its no Luke Hodge or Matthew Scarlett, but those kinda blokes you have picked are the kind that gather alot of posessions and go hard at the ball. Great options to score you points. Although I would trade Raines for Simon Presigiacomo, great backman who is guaranteed to play 20+ games this season and is only around 200,000. 9/10 You will benefit alot in this area, and Steven Hill is also a great player for you to have on your team, since he is guaranteed to play at least 18+ games, the dockers used him in the nab cup and he was easily one of fremantles best. Will be used alot in the home and away season. Centres/Midfielders. Trade someone for Haselby and Beams. Haselby is slow and has been out of the game for a year healing from a knee reconstruction, his price is around $350,000 so you can get a bloke that is a high posession getter and will play every game in 09. I'll suggest - Adam Goodes - Chris Masten - Brad Ebert - Brad Dalziel - Brent Staker - Mcveigh - Leon Davis 9/10 Ruckman. Any ruck combination with Dean Cox is a good one, well done. 10 / 10 Forwards, Dale Thomas is a one or two goal scorer per game and his price in dream team is way too expensive. Trade him for someone like Jack Anthony whos in red hot form (7 goals last week for the pies!). Besides that, I like your team. 8/10 Good luck for dream team 2009 :D"

Shazza WCE 4 life replied: "it's not as good as mine haha =]"

becksta174 replied: "Mines better than yours! :P Mwahahaha"

Tiger Fan for Life replied: "get rid of thomas seeing he didn't even get a brownlow vote last year"
